The namesake of the collection, Burning Night was phrased by ลŒtepoti-based artists Esta de Jong and Lance Strickland within a collage work that features as a screen print in the new JPalm collection. Their photography-led art practice embraces high contrast darkroom methodologies, composed fashion portraiture with a raw and tactile analogue energy.

The screenprint features a quote from Esta De Jong's artwork - 'Burning Night, Dim Darkness, Sin and Want,' paired with Julia Palmโ€™s quip, 'Bite Your Tongue'โ€” a reflection on the daily challenges of navigating societal expectations. Lance Strickland's discarded film photograph, reworked by Esta De Jong, found its way to the workroom wall at JPalm and became the centerpiece of this design. Itโ€™s accompanied by iconic photographs from Esta De Jong and distinctive JPalm accents, adding layers of meaning and nuance.

We cannot guarantee the exact delivery time, however, it is usually 1-3ย businessย days from dispatch.

We use an express overnight service viaย Post Haste or NZ Couries. Depending on where you are located through the country, it may take an additional day or two.

We use couriers that provideย a traceable service. They require a signature in most cases. If a signature is received from the provided address (which could be someone other than yourself). Thisย is evidence of delivery and fulfilment of your order.

Rural deliveries doย not require a signature. Please allow an extra day or two for delivery.


We charge a delivery fee of $10 for NZ Wide Shipping. The delivery fee covers packaging, shipping and insurance.ย
